Do you believe…

This one goes out to my oldest friend who was the person with me in the poem. Slimbo, I know you remember this night. I shit you not folks, this happened.

On a Cold Foggy Night

Two mates walking home

On a cold foggy night

As quiet as the grave

Was that cold foggy night

They talked and laughed

And tried as they might

Not to be afraid

Of the cold foggy night

The fine mist clung

What a cold foggy night

Like an invisible grip

On the cold foggy night

And in the distance they heard

But was far out of sight

The sound of an engine

Cut the cold foggy night

And as it came closer

On that cold foggy night

The engine roared

Piercing the cold foggy night

The friends were uneasy

Fear started to bite

As the painful roar

Shattered the cold foggy night

Then all reality was lost

That cold foggy night

The sound rushed passed

Through that cold foggy night

But they saw nothing

And unhinged by fright

Ran the rest of the way home

On a cold foggy night
