Sorry friends, it’s just the way I’m feeling at the moment.
Happy Endings… Not
I seem to write my best
When I’m feeling at my worst
It’s a thing I must confess
Holding on will make me burst
I’d like to write about
The fluffy things in life
But when it does come out
It’s nothing but trouble and strife
There are times when I just pray
Try to turn these thoughts around
But things get in the way
Like so much lost and found
There may come a time
My thoughts won’t be so pale
A happy verse, a happy rhyme
A happy ending to my tale
But then I look and see
The world, what it’s become
A place of misery
Full of hurt and darksome
It’s always darkest before the dawn…

I absolutely agree–I often find my best work comes from a time of distress or of being lost. I like to think that writing helps me get out of those dark places, by giving me an outlet. Well done expressing yourself here so raw and emotional. And thank you for your support for my scholarship vote in my last article! https://elleguyence.wordpress.com/2018/03/02/please-vote-im-a-scholarship-finalist/
