Song’s from the Movies

Is this not one of the best Marvel Movies in the galaxy… Thor Ragnarok. I love this and all the movies, regardless of the fact their owned by Disney, I love um, love um, Love Them.

This song is an absolute classic from Led Zeppelin. I particularly love it when it’s played in Mr Schneebly’s van in School of Rock.

This song is so fitting for the Thor movie; voice screaming, guitar shredding, out of this world ROCK!!! Written by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant it features lyrical references to Norse mythology. Coincidence… I think not.

Enjoy my fellow Asgardians.

ThorThe Immigrant SongLZ-TIS

Ah, ah.
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow.
Hammer of the gods, will drive our ships to new land.
To fight the hordes, and sing and cry.
Valhalla I am coming.

Always sweep with, with threshing oar.
Our only goal will be the western shore.

Ah, ah.
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow.
How soft your fields so green. Can whisper tales of gore.
Of how we calmed the tides of war. We are your over Lords.

Always sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the western shore.

So now you’d better stop, and rebuild all your ruins.
For peace and trust can win the day, despite of all your losing.

Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh
Ooh. Ah.
Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh.
Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh.

Go check out this very funky version and video over at YouTube

  1. See, I was never a fan of Stairway… I’m a little different that way…

I used to have the box set, you know, listened to them all the time when I’d drive around drunk trying to forget some guy that broke my heart. I remember listening to them and Stairway was playing and I had the thought, god these guys are fucking annoying and I popped the CD out of the deck, unrolled my window and tossed it. Never really listened (or enjoyed) them much since then lol
