Escape Hatch

I came to you in good faith

The dawn of new begins

With the fire of aspiration

You opened your doors welcomingly

But I missed the sign over it

Abandon hope all ye who enter here

These long years have been a toll

On my weary mind

Bricks and mortar

You’re bad through and through

Places are haunted; you’re diseased

I won’t do it anymore

I won’t bow to your ideas your ideals

I won’t lie down and die

Imprisoned I may seem

But you won’t break me

I will find my escape hatch

i love the darker side of anything but am really too frivolous in reality so I write mush, and you are mush from the hill, I think it is serendipity!

Hi JC! Nice to read you and get to know you, my first Welsh poet…(maybe?!).
